How to clean linoleum floors
Good old fashioned lino has undergone something of a resurgence. Linoleum is a natural product and slightly less impervious to spillages than carpet. You can clean it with a mild non acidic detergent and a well wrung out mop. Lino will stain so wipe up any spillages immediately.
If your lino is discoloured or tired looking it may need re waxing. Check the manufacturer's recommendations for stripping and reapplying the wax coating. Marks can be removed with a fine nylon pad which can be purchased in supermarkets.
Make sure you check manufacturer's instructions first and always try a test patch. If you aren’t sure whether or not the item you want to clean is suitable for cleaning make sure to take professional cleaning advice first.
